What Does "Church For The Sake of Others" Mean?

The folks at Mountain Valley Mission are working hard to develop ministry that is focussed outwards in Christian service to the Squamish Community. St. Theresa of Avila, (1515-1582) said, "Christ has no body but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes with which He looks with compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which He walks to do good. Yours are the hands, with which He blesses all the world."  We believe that our task is to strive to be Jesus' hands, feet & eyes in our community.

Therefore, we pursue an intentional commitment to helping those from the Squamish are who are at risk through poverty and addictions. In conjunction with Partners in Hope Society, an Open 12 Step Meeting is offered at 3:00 each Wednesday afternoon.  MVM also works closely with Helping Hands Homeless Shelter, the Squamish Food Bank and Community Christmas Care.  In partnership with Cobs Bread, we distribute end of day product to individuals and agencies in the greatest need.

Mountain Valley Mission's Home Group Fellowship is on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm for fellowship, prayer and Bible study.  We will meet in Pastor Barclay & Mary's home at 38239 Chestnut Avenue, Squamish.  Please call 604-567-5579 and let us know if you are interested in joining us.

Who Are We Anyway?

Anglican Coalition in Canada - Out Church Network

Mountain Valley Mission is a ministry of the Anglican Coalition in Canada (ACiC). We have been called to serve the people of Squamish.

The ACiC presently includes 18 churches and fellowships across Canada. We are a combination of evangelical Anglicans from existing churches and new believers whose Christian beliefs and ministry are established on the firm foundation of Holy Scripture. The ACiC believes that we have been called by God to bring the good news of the gospel of Christ to the 20 million Canadians who do not know Jesus.  We are a missionary outreach affiliated with the Anglican Mission in the Americas and work closely with both Canadian and American Partners who have formed the new Anglican Church in North America.  What We Believe
