            Members of a Food Co-op pool  their resources to purchase foods in bulk and then redistribute them in  individual meal portions.

            What a Food Co-op isn’t.&#160; A Food Co-op is not a Food  Bank or a Soup Kitchen.&#160; Those types of  ministries and services, which offer free food, are already provided for  by other Squamish social agencies and charities.&#160;
